Welcome
A house that lets you slow down
Wilgerbos is a family-run guest house in a restored 1950s farmhouse, at the foot of the Witzenberg mountains. We have five rooms, shaded stoeps, a pool in the garden and a kitchen that bakes its own bread.
Walk to the historic main street, taste wine at the cellars down the road, or do nothing at all. Our hosts are around when you need them, and invisible when you do not.

Included in every stay
Breakfast on the stoep
Free-range eggs, homemade rusks and preserves, seasonal fruit and strong filter coffee, served between 07:30 and 10:00. Tell us about allergies or vegetarian needs when you book and we will look after you.
Dinner? We will gladly book you a table at one of the restaurants in town, or arrange a braai pack for the fire pit (R280 a couple).
Good to know
The comfortable details
Load shedding ready
The whole house runs on inverter backup: lights, wifi, fans and phone charging. Hot water and gas hob never go off.
Fast wifi
Fibre to the house, uncapped, in every room and on the stoep. Good for a video call between wine tastings.
Pool and garden
A fenced pool, shaded loungers and a fire pit under the stars. Towels are provided.
Safe parking
Secure off-street parking behind a gate, with space for bicycles and a motorbike or two.
Guest notes
What guests say
The Karoo Suite was spotless and so peaceful. Breakfast on the stoep was the highlight of our weekend.
We lost power one evening and did not even notice. Candles, a gas hob and a warm welcome.
We came for a night and stayed three. The garden is lovely and the hosts do not hover.
